HOWTO: Set a database shortcut
Database shortcuts replace the full database name on window tabs. To set a database shortcut, select the database in the Data Explorer pane:

Now open the properties pane, and go to the Display section. Set the "Shortcut" property to the desired name and the "UseShortcut" property to "Yes".
